Doing what we are called to do sometimes feels like trying to walk in boots that weren't made for our feet. While sometimes we get a good laugh, other times we just find ourselves frustrated from the effort of constantly falling.
Still, we get out in the field and do what we know needs doing, all the while praying for God to somehow use our efforts to bring Him glory.
In His grace, sometimes, we taste of the fruit of our labor. Tasting of His "with-us-ness" is a needed gift, but to have the dripping sweetness of seeing Him glorified among us...this nourishes our stamina and feeds our faithfulness to continue to walk in the shoes of our calling.
Add several of us fumbling around together, relying on each other and most certainly the One calling us, and then we find the towering mountains less daunting, the pressure gauge dipping out of the red. Because together is how life was meant to be lived.
Whisper Mountain Staff find our pressure gauge needle in the red, standing in the shadows of mountains feeling too high to climb. We welcome our summer staff later this week and then dive into a week of training with them, followed by a summer full of campers! We are both thrilled and gasping for breath as we strive to pull loose ends together! Pray for us if you will! We need you on our prayer team as we continue to stumble through this calling of camp ministry! May God alone be glorified!
