Many people feel that with the leaves falling from the trees there's a falling away of beauty as well. I would agree that leaves add amazing beauty to this forest we live in, but I am not willing to settle for a lack of beauty in these bare times. I have been finding myself in search of beauty.
Just like with people, if we are willing to see beauty, we almost always find it! The beauty may be different than we are used to or even different than we prefer, but it is still beauty. With the uncovering that bareness brings, comes a new realization of what always lies beneath. What lies beneath is a story God is writing. He authors beauty!
With all the quirky things this city girl isn't used to and the tired buildings that line the streets, our town has become a place I find beautiful. A place I love calling home. A place I am thankful to be living.
