tilling, tilling, tilling. get those spikes a tilling. Ra-hide!
Do you garden? Oh my, do I love it! (I've mentioned my spot before!) The tiller (and Marty) have been working hard. (Where there's a machine, there is Tegan.)
Beautiful, isn't it, that freshly turned dirt? Forgive me while I sound a little *new age-y* for a moment. (I assure you I worship the Creator, not the created!) For me, connecting to the earth--caring for natural life--through gardening deeply refreshes and settles my spirit in a way little else does. Dirt clumps falling between my fingers, rich smells filling my nose, mingling of soft and cool under my bare feet. I'm drawn to the earth.

Caring for our mini greenhouse (the table!) for weeks now has helped my impatience to get out in it! Though some plantings have gone into the garden already, most are waiting their turn.

Did you know my son is a string designer? He had some story to go with this but it's escaping me now! I usually just Sharpie a wooden stake with the plant type because it's quick and easy. But completely uninspiring! I'm dreaming up cute markers this year! Juice lids was a frugal option I saw. Broken flower pots is practical when you've got broken flower pots! Clay markers are super cute, but take too much time for me! I'm more instant gratification...AND I simply have no spare time! Painted wood or stone is where I'm leaning. What do you do?

Before you get too excited, you should know only the special gardens come with cherubs streaking through it! Don't you wish yours was special?!
Do tell, what are you growing? Any wisdom to share?
