If you didn't know, January is National Letter Writing Month. The thought has been stuck in my head for some time and I wanted to verify that I knew what I was talking about. Like any normal person would, I headed to Google for the assurance. What to my astonished eyes did appear but a conflict of communication across the world wide web. After careful research (you know, 5 minutes of clicking different links and skimming paragraphs), I came to the conclusion that both January and April are National Letter Writing Months. Hmn. Is that really necessary? Moving on.
We all know a personal touch is a lasting touch when interacting with others. While a text is still thoughtful (in my book), a handwritten letter goes levels deeper. A person taking time from their busy day to grab a card, get a hand cramp while writing out some heartfelt words, find an address, pay for a stamp and deliver the letter to the post office just so I can know they care? This is day-changing stuff, folks! A hug in an envelope! A smile in a mailbox!
If you're anything like me you still have a list of people to send Christmas thank you cards to. After that is tackled, who else would like some happy mail? Who else could benefit from a little sunshine in an envelope?
To help us both jump start the handwritten letters this month, I've created a (free) pdf card set you can print at home. Awesome, right? Here's what to do:
1. Click this link // Well Hello There Notecard
2. Save the picture to your computer
3. Print the artwork on card stock or other paper of your choice
4. Follow the directions on the page for trimming!
Easy peasy!
Grab a pen and make somebody's day! The little things have always been the big things!
