(NOTE :: the pictures below are bad as I was using my phone and shivering intensely. but they tell the story!)
In a spot where rebel flags wave proudly and small town football is its own religion, the Q Foundation came.
Our high school FCA group rallied together to make a difference in the lives of the Falcons through signs, banners, warm bodies filling the visitor's stands, and a heart to cheer for a team of teens who don't have many fans.
While many locals couldn't understand the "shift in loyalty", still others saw this as a chance to do something to make a difference. Watching the confidence build in the Falcons as we all shouted encouragement, clapped and hollered and whistled was proof that standing with someone makes a difference.
Encouragement often brings victory!
The Black Knights fell to the Falcons on their last home game of the season! Our teens took some heat from their peers at the support they gave the Falcons, but they did so together, knowing that they were looking to the eternal impact rather than the immediate! I was proud of our teens, of our church, of those in our town who particiapated in strengthening these young men of the Q Foundation! I was encouraged by encouraging!
Hear their story:
Everyone's fighting some kind of battle! May we look for ways to encourage today, and help bring victory to their lives!
