I am Cassi Werner, wife to Shaun, mom to Kinsley, Selah & Tegan, and team member to those of us crazy enough to follow God into the camp ministry of Whisper Mountain Ministries! My days are full as I strive to balance all these roles entail and having the energy to savor each step we take along this trail!
Being surrounded by the beauty of the mountains is a treat to wake to each day, but waking with a meaningful purpose of helping others to find the peace and joy of life is something that is fulfilling and energizing! Lest you think I awake every day with heroic energy, I don't! Many days I am so weary I can hardly see straight and many moments I lose sight of the mission because of the menial tasks that must be performed. In an effort to hang onto the beautiful moments that try to slip through my fingers, I blog! The pausing to think through my life in the moment causes me to savor the golden nuggets buried deep within the full of each day! I am refreshed by these nuggets and pleased to share some of them with you here!
I'm not sure how you've come to our spot along the trail, but know that my heart in having this space is to invite you along, if for a moment, on the trail we walk here at Whisper Mountain Youth Camp! I hope to give snapshots of, not just my family's spending of days, but the days of Whisper Mountain as well, and the people who cross our path, and the Divine entering into it all!
I look forward to strolling with you at least every now and then! The trail is never boring and always rewarding!
